FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. What is a PoE switch and what are its advantages?
A PoE (Power over Ethernet) switch is a network switch that can transmit both data and electrical power to connected devices through a standard Ethernet cable. Its main benefits are simplified installation (no need for separate power outlets near devices like cameras or wireless access points), reduced costs, greater deployment flexibility, and a cleaner, more manageable system.
2. What PoE standards does this switch support?
This switch fully supports the IEEE 802.3af (PoE) and 802.3at (PoE+) standards. It automatically detects and powers compatible IEEE-compliant devices (PDs).
3. How do I know if my device is PoE-compatible?
Your device (e.g., a camera or AP) should specify "IEEE 802.3af/at PoE compliant" or "PoE powered" in its technical specifications. If it complies with these standards, the switch will automatically detect and supply power once connected.
4. Will connecting a non-PoE device (like a regular computer) damage it?
No, it will not. The switch features intelligent detection and only delivers power to IEEE-compliant PoE devices. For non-PoE equipment like computers or standard switches, it functions as a regular data port and is completely safe.

Designed for simplified network deployment, the JWDTC01-24 PoE switch delivers both data and power over a single Ethernet cable, offering a clean and flexible foundation for modern networks.
